Dennis Cahill is our Chief Operating Officer. He was named to this position with Royal & SunAlliance USA in October of 2003.

He has responsibility for Legal & Regulatory and Information Systems, as well as all U.S. commercial and personal insurance operations.

Prior to his current role, Dennis was Executive Vice President, Financial and Insurance Risk Management with Royal & SunAlliance. He was responsible for building a new organization and implementing exit strategies for several long-term financial products and specialty business units the company had sold or discontinued. From 2000 to August 2003 Dennis also had responsibility for the Strategic Alliances businesses, a collection of specialty and niche business units operating on a national basis.

Dennis joined R&SA in 1991 and has held a number of executive and managerial roles in both commercial insurance and Risk Management & Global operations. These prior management responsibilities have included domestic and multinational property and casualty underwriting and field operations, client services, business development and marketing and underwriting support operations.

Prior to joining R&SA, Dennis worked for The Hartford in various commercial insurance underwriting and managerial roles.

Dennis received his B.B.A. degree from Shenandoah University.
