Dave Shumway is Arrowpoint Capital's Chief Investment Officer and President of Arrowpoint Investment Management Company.  He was named to these positions with Royal & SunAlliance USA in August 2003.

In these roles, Dave invests and oversees all of the general insurance investment assets, all pension plan and funded benefit assets, and the 401(k) plan investment managers and investment options for Arrowpoint Capital.  Additionally, Dave leads the asset/liability management function and activities for the company.

Dave joined Royal & SunAlliance USA in July 1999 as the Director of Fixed Income, with investment and oversight responsibility for all fixed income assets. 

His career in the investment industry spans 23 years, beginning in 1985, and covers all components of the capital markets.  Prior to joining R&SA, he worked for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets and Lehman Brothers.

Dave received a BA in Chemistry and an MS in Finance and Investments from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Charlotte Financial Analysts Society.
